The revenue ladder

Skool awards a public badge by the owner's monthly revenue, so unlike every other marketplace the tier is visible on the page. Across all 9,000 communities we measure, this is what each tier actually looks like — and 481 of the 1,000 in money carry one.

Only the four tiers with enough communities to average are characterised above; fire and goat hold 3 communities between them.

The ladder is not built on price. Moving up it means more members and more time, while the price charged falls: $51 at the bottom tier against $94 at crown.

The three that separate them: 1,473 members against 485; 15.5 courses against 10.6; 463 days old against 356. What does not: the face — 91% against 89%. Face-forward is the platform convention here, not an edge; we measured it directly on 8,996 owner photos.

What the review samples do and do not say

Skool review samples record whether the reviewer was still a paying member when the page was read. Across 2,699 communities with a sample (3.3 reviews each on average), 95% were. This is not a retention rate. If it were, it would fall with the age of the community; it does not — 96.0% / 94.8% / 93.2% / 94.1% across communities under 200 days, 200–400, 400–700 and older. It measures who writes a review, not who stays. We publish it because it is what the platform shows, and we say what it is worth.
